gFTP

In the Host: field, enter your web address (www.companyname.com)

In the User: field, enter in your Login Name

In the Pass: field, enter in your Password

Hit Enter to connect

Enter Account Information

  • Locate the files you wish to upload to the web server in the Local Files window (on the left)

    Select files to be uploaded

  • Change directories in the destination window (on the right) so that you are in the /usr/httpd/virtual/ directory. Then proceed to change to your web directory, for instance www.companyname.com

    Select Destination Directory

  • Choose from one of the following:
    1. Change to the html directory if you are uploading HTML content
    2. Change to the cgi-bin directory if you are uploading any php, cgi, et al scripts
  • In the Local files window, click (to highlight) the files you wish to upload and click on the right arrow in the middle of the screen to start the process.

    Click the Right arrow to send content

  • Download Content

    1. Launch gFTP

      1. In the Host: field, enter your web address (www.companyname.com)
      2. In the User: field, enter in your Login Name
      3. In the Pass: field, enter in your Password
      4. Hit Enter to connect

      Enter Account Information

    2. Locate the files you wish download from the web server in the Remote Files window (on the right) Left click on the files once to they are highlighted

      Locate Files you wish to obtain on the Web server

    3. Find a destination folder in the Local Files window (on the left)

      Select a Destination Directory

    4. Click on the left arrow in the middle of the screen to start the download process

      Click on the Left arrow to download content

    Disconnecting

    1. Click on Remote and select Disconnect, or hit Ctrl + D

      Select Remote, then Disconnect or hit Ctrl + D
